Every Melbournian worth their salt, or for that matter their beer knows the pub the Pint on Punt, right? Perched right on the junction where St Kilda Road, Punt Rd, Queens rd and Fitzroy Street meet. Well the Pint on Punt has been given a spit and polish, and whoo hoo, here is The Windsor Alehouse. Its a great renovation, sort of stripped back industrial but with a classy edge and certainly maintains that earthy, cosy pub feel. The menu looks fantastic and there is a great selection of craft beers to choose from. I’ve been in here a few times in the last couple of weeks as I fitted out the front windows with some drapes in keeping with the raw, industrial but upmarket feel. Every time I was in, the hearth was firing, the people friendly, great aromas wafting from the kitchen and let me tell you it was a little hard to keep my mind on work!
Here are a couple of pictures of the pub windows before the drapes went in.
I employed some black hessian, plumbing fittings, cafe clips and a bit of creativity and elbow grease and…
Voila! Just a little bit cosier.
Pop in soon for a little refreshment.
